Hello my little worldies! Little something different this week as I've taken on a new venture making cake jars and thought some of you may want to recreate these for yourselves! I apologise if you do not like baking but bare with me as next week's blog will be something different, I'll leave a recipe for the cupcakes and then show you how I assembled each one, I hope you enjoy this and if you recreate these then tweet me with a picture and I'll retweet them!
Btw the jars were from Wilko's - 12 for £5!

What you will need for 12 cake jars:
-400g of butter
-200g of caster sugar
-3 eggs
-200g of self raising flour
-550g icing sugar
-1 teaspoon of baking powder
-milk
-cocoa powder
-cupcake cases & jars

(Forgot to picture the icing sugar like the idiot I am, who expected anything different?😂)
And then for the 4 flavours (you could make your own flavours or even stick to just one of these)
-Jam
-lemon curd
-meringue peices
-toffee flavoured treat sauce
-toffee pieces
-chocolate orange peices
-orange essence

Cupcake recipe: makes 12 jars
-200g of butter (doesn't matter which)
-200g of caster sugar
-3 large eggs
-200g of self-raising flour
-1 teaspoon of baking powder
-milk to loosen
-2 teaspoons of cocoa powder for 3/12 cupcakes (to make chocolate orange ones) or add until you feel it is chocolatey enough
Mix butter and sugar together until smooth, mix in the eggs and flour a bit at a time - the mixture will be thick at this point. Add the baking powder and add milk until smooth & able to spoon out.
In a separate bowl, take out enough for 3 cupcakes & mix in cocoa powder for the 3 chocolate buns. Add to the cupcake cases and bake for 12-15 mins (keep an eye on them) at 180°c, then leave to cool
You will need 2 layers for each jar so cut each cupcake in half
Buttercream:
-200g of butter
-550g icing sugar
-milk again to loosen
Mix all together and add milk until smooth, should be thick enough to spoon. Split into 4 bowls for different flavours
For the victoria sponge jars: (3/12)
Layer buttercream, cake, jam, cake, buttercream and dust with icing sugar

Lemon meringue jars: (3/12)
Take one of the bowls of buttercream (should have 4 bowls which you split earlier) and add 1 heaped teaspoon of lemon curd & mix.
Layer buttercream, cake, lemon curd, meringue pieces, cake, buttercream and meringue pieces to decorate

Sticky toffee jars: (3/12)
Add a generous squeeze of toffee flavoured treat sauce to one of the bowls of buttercream. Layer buttercream, cake, toffee treat sauce, toffee pieces, cake, buttercream and then toffee sauce and pieces to decorate.

Chocolate orange jars: (3/12)
Add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder and one cap of orange essence to one of the bowls of buttercream.
Layer buttercream, chocolate sponge, chocolate orange peices, cake, buttercream and chocolate orange pieces to decorate

I decorated the jars with a plastic spoon and tied gold ribbon in a bow as I am selling them so this is optional but thought I would show the finished product!

Hope you enjoyed this recipe and have fun recreating these! They are delicious and are lovely to watch tv with! You could also turn these into cupcakes as it is the same amount of cake & buttercream but if you use this recipe then comment below or tweet me so I can see! Don't forget to subscribe if you want to hear more from me and keep updated when I upload a new post!
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday! Lots of love❤
