Hello lovelies! This one is coming to you a little later than planned as i have had other posts which i wanted to do at the time, therefore this one is a combination of my faves and fails of the last 6-8 weeks. There will be a mix of beauty, skin care, music and TV this time around, each faves and fails is totally different but i hope you enjoy!

Beauty

L'Oreal Baby Roll Mascara

This was recommended by @sophdoesnails ...like every other make up product i buy pretty much! I now understand why she talks about it so much, it is super black and makes my lashes incredibly long and thick. I've tried a mix of drugstore and high end mascaras and this has by far made my lashes the longest and thickest. It is a little more watery than some mascaras I've had so doesn't make my lashes clumpy, it also does not transfer throughout the day which is a bonus. The only thing i find it is easy to get on your lid due to the watery texture so be careful if you use it but its incredible and im very much in love with the way it makes my lashes look!

Sleek Solstice Palette

I bought this palette a while back as it was hyped on social media with people saying it was super blinding and very pretty on the skin. At the time i also purchased the topshop sunbeam highlighter which i was in love with so this got pushed to the side. However i went through my collection in October, found this and tried it out and since then it has been my everyday highlighter palette. I use the bottom right shade which is a beautiful blinding white-ish highlight and looks amazing on pale skin so if you are pale like myself you will love this! There are 3 powder shades and one cream shade which are all beautiful!

Eyelure Exaggerate Lashes in 141

These lashes are SO beautiful! They are my new favourite style as they are so long, so fluttery and so wispy. They do wonders for my makeup look and I adore them! You have to try these, absolutely stunning😍

Skincare

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Scrub

This is a product i have used for a couple of years and no matter which facial scrub i try, i always come back to this one. Firstly it smells amazing but the main thing i like about this scrub is how well it exfoliates my skin without being harsh. I find some scrubs can be too harsh on the skin but this is such a beautiful balance. Whenever i use this, my skin thanks me for it. I have been having trouble with my skin recently due to university stress and this manages to keep my spots under control. I dont like to use a scrub every day so i use this in the shower every other day and even this manages to keep my skin incredibly clear. My holy grail skincare product!

Primark Moisturising Skin Oil

I was looking to try a new moisturiser when i spotted this in primark. I have never tried a moisturising face oil before as i have oily skin and always thought it would make my oily skin much worse. However it was £2.90 so i thought i would give it a try. I put 4-5 drops on my skin after removing my makeup and it makes my skin feel super soft and looks super glowy! I just love how this makes my skin look and feel. I haven't found it makes my oily skin worse and i actually feel i prefer this to a cream moisturiser, its a new find but also a new fave of mine!

TV: The Russell Howard Hour

I have been a fan of Russell Howard for around 5/6 years. I was a huge fan of Russell Howard's Good News and when he stopped making it i was devastated. When i saw this was coming on TV and that it pretty much had the same format i was so excited! I have seen Russell Howard live 3 times and met him twice, i just love his standpoint on important topics and his political views. You can count on Russell Howard to say the things most of us would be too scared to and manages to make important points on huge news topics whilst making them hilarious. I dont know how he manages it but every week for 1 hour i cannot stop laughing, its a wonderfully funny show with a real meaning and Russell Howard gets better every week!  He also attempts to make the world a better place and uses his show as a platform to spread kindness, i adore this show so much!

Music:

Stone Sour- Fabuless & Rose Red Violent Blue

I have been a fan of Corey Taylor for a few years through slipknot and never found his other band stone sour until a few months ago. I listen to kerrang radio a lot, where i first heard stone sour #3 (another incredible song btw) and they played Red Rose Violent blue which i instantly fell in love with. The video is incredibly funny (definitely watch that) but i love that this song is a little more tame than some of the others, i love the lyrics and just adore Corey Taylor's voice! Fabuless is a much heavier song, however i do love heavier music so this one is right up my street. I have had both songs on repeat this last month and i have found a new love for the band!

Bastille- World Gone Mad

Bastille have been my favorite band for over 5 years now. They always somehow manage to make such incredible songs and aren't afraid to make songs that aren't their usual style. In fact i couldn't tell you their style as it is so diverse. Bastille are known for making music about things happening in the world, topics in the news and relatable life events- they have songs about anything from politics to substance misuse and much more and each song is better than the last. This one is about the state of the world right now and seeing what a bad place it is, its such a beautiful song and i adore Dan's voice. A must listen!

The Reytons- Slice of Lime

The Reytons are a new find of mine, they aren't world famous or anything, they are just an indie band from my hometown of Doncaster so i heard them through a friend of mine. This song is super catchy and i love the style of the band, if you are a fan of arctic monkeys then i think you will like these guys. As im writing this, i think they have just released their first EP so definitely check that out and if you live in the Doncaster/Sheffield area then they are just about to do some gigs!

Fails:

Sleek Matte Me Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Velvet Slipper

I absolutely adore Sleek as a brand so please do not think i am bashing this brand. As you can see Sleek were in my favorites this month, its just this product does not work well with me - personal preference. I absolutely adore the colour of this, its a dark grungy purple colour and it is super pigmented, however i find this lipstick too drying. It takes all the moisture out of my lips and tends to crumble off if i wear it for a few hours- i feel there are better liquid lipsticks in the drug store which are really moisturising. It is a shame but that is my personal opinion.

Kiko Radiant Fusion Baked Powder in 01

Again, i just want to reiterate that i am not bashing the brand. I have many Kiko products and i am such a fan of the brand, i think they are super luxurious products for the price. However, this powder does not last long on my skin. I have very oily skin and although it mattifies my skin to begin with, it does not last long. The rimmel stay matte lasts much longer on my skin if i am being honest. Its such a shame but i feel if you have super oily skin like myself it isn't going to work for you.

And that's it! I really hope you enjoyed this weeks blog, i love doing monthly favorites and i had so many this month! If you have any of these products then let me know your views in the comments below, i would love to hear your thoughts! I hope you are having a fabulous Sunday and i will speak to you all next Sunday! As always thank you for reading and if you enjoyed it then please subscribe on the home page, it would make me very happy and it means you will never miss a blog post! I love you all so much!
