JANUARY FAVES AND WHY I'VE BEEN AWAY

Hello lovelies! Sorry for the complete lack of communication with you all. Before i get into this weeks blog, i wanted to explain why ive been away and whats been happening in my life. Well firstly, i am due to qualify as a nurse in July so ive been having job interviews and i have been offered one!! This means moving down to London from Manchester but i cant wait to get started! Therefore i have spent a lot of time with friends and family celebrating as it is a huge opportunity. I've also had to work on my dissertation during this time whilst also moving back to Manchester and changing my current lifestyle - changing my diet and doing more exercise. It has been a crazy month! I do apologize for the lack of blog posts but i have so many plans for this blog so i hope you are still willing to join me on this journey!

Now that ive blabbed on, this weeks blog is my January favorites! I received so many new products for Christmas and have been enjoying so many of them so i hope you enjoy!

Beauty

Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder in Translucent - £5.99

I put this in my boxing day haul and i did say i wasn't really enjoying this powder as it didn't last too well on my skin. I found this was due to the concealer i was using which was too dewy for my skin so i switched it up and have fallen in love with this powder. I do prefer it for baking rather than setting my entire face but it is a beautiful powder and leaves my skin looking amazing all day! It doesn't add any colour so is perfect for baking under my eyes and doesn't feel heavy either, if you are looking for a new loose powder i would recommend this one! Makeup Obsession Single Pan Highlighter in H102 Pearl & H104 MOON - £3 EACH

I have had these in my collection a long time and never really used them but now i am obsessed! Pearl is a super blinding champagne-gold which i would imagine looks amazing on so many different skin tones! Its not too powdery or chalky and is ridiculously blinding for the price! The highlighter in H104 Moon is also stunning, it is a bright white with a purple reflect! You need to try these!

URBAN DECAY DE-SLICK SETTING SPRAY MINI SIZE - £10

I have been after the urban decay all nighter setting spray for a long time as I've heard so many amazing things about it. When I went into the urban decay store, the store assistant recommended this one instead as I have super oily skin and this is an oil control setting spray! I have to say I am absolutely obsessed, I can wear my makeup for 12 hrs+ and it does not move, it really keeps my oils at bay, it's amazing! If you have really oily skin I would recommend this one instead of the all nighter spray!

New Look Blush Perfume - £8.99 50ml/ £12.99 100ml

I was kindly bought this for Christmas and since then i haven't been able to wear it without someone asking what perfume i am wearing, ive had so many complements as it smells absolutely incredible! Im not good at describing scents but its very sweet and fruity so if you like those kind of scents, you will adore this! I recommend smelling it when you go into New Look and i guarantee you will fall in love!

Body Shop Strawberry Hand Cream- £5 30ml, £12 100ml

I have always been a fan of the strawberry range at the Body Shop, well ive always been a fan of the Body Shop to be honest. I have never used the hand cream before as ive never struggled with dry hands but this winter my hands have been incredibly dry so i gave this a go. Firstly, it smells incredible and its a super handy size to keep in my bag, secondly, its super hydrating and moisturising but isn't sticky at all- its perfect! You must try this if you have dry hands!

Clothing/Accessories

Green "Fashion Stole My Money" Hoodie - Primark, £3 in the sale

This is just a gimmicky hoodie to wear in the house when im in my comfies but im absolutely in love. Its incredibly over sized so is super cosy and warm but i do just love the design, i couldn't not buy it for £3! I love primark hoodies/jumpers anyway but this is a new favorite of mine!

Morefit Slim Fitness Tracker (Fitbit dupe)- Amazon £19.99

I've been exercising more recently in an attempt to lose weight this year and this has been super handy to have! It reports heart rate, steps, calories burned, distance travelled, length of time exercised etc and also tracks sleep. It connects to an app on your phone where it records your progress and you can see if you are on track! It works exactly the same as a fitbit but is much cheaper!

Music

Bands: Avenged Sevenfold and Trivium

Im such a huge fan of both these bands and have been for a while now, ive been listening to trivium much more recently as their new album came out not too long ago and ive been really enjoying it! I am always listening to avenged sevenfold as i am such a fan and im heading to Download Festival in June where they are headlining- RESULT!

Single Tracks: Nothing More - Don't Stop, Palisades- Let Down and The Used- Over and Over Again

Its hard to describe songs to people as music is such an individual thing so all i will say is here are 3 incredible rock songs which i have been really enjoying this last month, all 3 have such a different sound and are all very different bands but ive enjoyed all 3 equally! If you have followed my blog for a while and you are a fan of the bands i like, you will really enjoy these ones! Go give them a listen!

I re-watched this entire show over the Christmas period as i love it so much! I have always been a fan of Ruth Jones and think she did an incredible job with this, you love every character for different reasons and it brings out so much emotion in you! I dont want to admit how many times i cried re-watching this! Its incredibly funny and you can relate to the characters so well, i love all the actors and think its a wonderful feel good show. I am absolutely heartbroken that there will be no more episodes made! You have to give this a watch!
