CAKE AND BAKE SHOW

Hello lovelies, yesterday I went to the cake and bake show in Manchester, for the second year in a row, and had the most incredible day so I thought I would share everything from the day for all you bakers out there! It's on every year & I would definitely reccomend going next year! 

Firstly I won tickets through @bakewithalegend where you can have baking classes & experiences with past great British bake off contestants! I went to their stand but I will explain this later as I feel you need to know what the cake and bake show is. 

It is based at event city in Manchester (they also do one in London if you live closer to London) and it is a 4 day event - each day with different celebrity bakers and GBBO contestants showing you recipes and bakes in the main arena and they also do book signings and meet fans. The arena area is full of stalls selling baking, baking tools, decoration & decoration tools, equipment and more, some offering freebies and one of a kind bakes - all homemade, basically it's a baking lovers dream! There is also a baking academy and the cake and bake show leads into the ideal home show at Christmas & a food and drink festival- everything from crepes and ice cream rolls to teeth whitening and hot tubs - everything you could ever think of under one roof! There is a wonderful atmosphere and it's just a lovely day out, plus meeting some of your baking idols is so incredible (more on this later). 

I went to the @bakewithalegend stand where Howard Middleton (GBBO 2015) was doing demonstrations on how to make a fondant pig. Howard and the team were super lovely and I was able to talk to Howard about the possibility of myself applying for bake off (I know!). It was just super fun! 

I was also lucky enough to meet topless baker, I've been a fan of his work for a long time(not to mention he is incredibly hot) and was able to watch him on the main stage bake an apple pie- he is such a lovely guy in real life! I was fangirling so hard😂 

Last year I was lucky enough to meet Candice, Andrew, Jane and Tom from bake off 2016 and Luis from 2014! 

Each year I come away with enough cake to last me till Christmas and plenty of new tools to try out! There is also always freebies and cake testing going on and I just feel it's a fabulous day out if you have a love of baking!  

Sorry this blog was something a little different, I would have loved to have vlogged but I'm too scared & really wanted to tell you about it! It's an incredibly fun and exciting day out if you love baking!
