SOPH X MAKEUP REVOLUTION PALETTE REVIEW

Hello my lovelies, been a busy week but I really wanted to review this palette for you all! I have been a big fan of sophdoesnails for over a year now and when she released her own palettes with make up revolution i was so excited! I've always loved how she has always been the face for drug store makeup and is super down to earth. I only managed to pick up the eyeshadow palette as the highlighter palette was out of stock but I've totally fallen in love with it and wanted to share my thoughts so I hope you enjoy! If for whatever reason ( a miracle perhaps) that sophdoesnails reads this then: soph I am so proud of you and keep doing what you do, I love you! 

First of all the packaging is beautiful! 

And don't get me started on these shades, they are so autumnal and right up my street! If I was to make a palette of my favourite shades it would be this😍 

Here I have swatched all the shades: top row, L-R: Penguin, pancakes, fairy lights, pink champagne, iced coffee, cup of tea. 

Penguin is just a matte white but is an excellent base and pancakes is a beautiful transition shade for pale skin. Fairy lights and pink champagne are both beautiful shimmer shades perfect for the lid, inner corner or brow bone. Iced coffee and cup of tea are also amazing transition shades. 

Second row- L-R: grow old, sparks fly, Smokey bronze, mixed berries, tiramisu, peaches. 

Grow old, sparks fly and Smokey bronze are 3 amazing gold toned shimmer shades, super pigmented and very autumnal! Mixed berries is such a pretty shimmer shade, I adore this one as it's one of the most pigmented and such a unique shade! Tiramisu and peaches are perfect shades for the crease and can help to create such diverse looks!

3rd row- L-R: cloudberry, pumpkin, pine tree, petrol, pug, danger. 

Cloudberry and pumpkin are such perfect autumnal shades and are super pigmented, I particularly love pumpkin! Pine tree is probably my favourite shade, I've never seen anything like it, I'd say it is the most pigmented shimmer and it is gorgeous! Petrol is no different, it's such a unique colour, it's incredible! Pug is a lovely transition shade and danger is such a vibrant red toned shade, Perfect for Autumn and I know how hard it is to make a shade like this! Stunning!  

Last row, L-R: strawberry, festive flame, copper coin, mug cake, rosewood, nightmare. 

Strawberry is a beautiful pinky red shade, I love colours like this! Festive flame and copper coin are quite similar but festive flame has more of a red undertone, they are super shimmery but better applied with your finger! Again mug cake and rosewood are very similar but are a great deep brown to deepen the crease! Nightmare is a super pigmented black, it's so hard to create a good black and I love this one, I created a full Halloween look with this black! 

Here's a couple of photos of me testing out this palette, both for normal eyeshadow looks and for Halloween so you can get a sense of their pigmentation! 

Here I have: iced coffee, cuppa tea, tiramisu and strawberry sweets in the crease, pine tree on the lid, mixed berries on the lower lash line and pink champagne in my inner corner. 

Next is a Halloween look I created, I was practicing different looks and I fell in love with this one- I only used this palette and a black eye liner! 

For this I used: nightmare for the main black and then tiramisu, pug, mug cake and rosewood around the black. 

Here is me just using cup of tea, pumpkin and strawberry (also sparks fly on the top image) to create a simple warm toned look, I wanted just to show the diversity of this palette! 

All the shades are super pigmented and blend so lovely & so easily! The shades are such a lovely texture and the colour in the pan is exactly what you get on the eye. 

It's only £10 for 24 shades which is incredible, there are shades for all looks and all skintones and the shades are stunning! It's my go to palette now, I think soph has done a fabulous job!
