BONFIRE NIGHT CUPCAKES

Hello lovelies, this week I thought I'd bring you another baking recipe! I have two different cupcakes in mind, one batch of smores cupcakes and one batch of bonfire cupcakes. They will have the same basic mixture but will have different frosting and decoration. Cupcake mixture (makes 24)  

- 250g butter 

- 250g sugar 

- 250g self raising flour 

- 4 eggs 

- 1 & 1/2 tsp of baking powder 

- dash of milk

Easy Smores cupcakes: 

Cut a deep hole in the middle of the cupcake (not quite to the bottom) and fill with nutella. 

Frosting

- 150g butter 

- 500g icing sugar 

- 200g marshmallow fluff 

- milk if needed 

- piping bag & nozzle 

Pipe frosting on to the cupcake, top with marshmallows and biscuit crumbs! Feel free to drizzle with chocolate or add chocolate peices, decorate how you wish!

Easy Bonfire cupcakes:  

These are much easier, no filling involved unless you wish to add something like toffee or caramel etc

Decoration: 

Frosting- 

- 150g butter 

- 500g icing sugar 

- dash of milk 

- orange food colouring 

- piping bag & nozzle 

Toppings- chocolate matchmakers

Pipe the orange buttercream onto the cupcakes, then break the matchmakers and place them vertically around the edge of the cupcake leaning in towards the middle to resemble wood on a bonfire. I left them here for simplicity but feel free to add anything you wish to make it look more like a bonfire!  

I literally adore the finished product of these! These were so fun to make and will make a statement at any gathering or party! Even use the basic recipe and decorate according to the event, these are the fluffiest and lightest buns with the most creamy buttercream so enjoy!
